Got my assembled keyboard today and was pleasantly surprised by the build quality. I was getting a little impatient, but now I know what people mean when they say it's worth the wait. Thanks Jack!
TheDirtyThirtyHere's a breakdown of mine:
Top Plate: MIT Layout Stainless Steel (There was also brass, I can't remember how extra much it was)
Case: was Acrylic with stainless steel bottom ($0 extra), but upgraded to Black Milled Aluminum Bottom (+$15). There were also wood options that were significantly more expensive, as well as brass plates and a formed stainless steel bottom.
Switches: Gateron Brown (-$8). Cherries were +$0 and there were also Matias QuietPros and ALPs switches, which were extra.
Keycaps: PBT OEM +$0. DSA were $18.99 extra
Assembly: Unassembled (Assembly was $14 I think, Jack will probably not offer this next drop)
LEDs: None (These were obviously extra as well.)
Total Price: $106.99 + ~$10 shipping to Georgia, USA.
So looks like the board is $99 + options.
If anyone can fill in these options, here's what I missed
Brass top plate:
Cedar Wood middle:
Walnut wood middle:
Paduak wood middle:
Mahogany wood middle:
Brass bottom plate:
Formed stainless steel bottom:
Alps switches:
Matias switches:
LEDs:
morpenThanks man! I'm new to this mechanical keyboard world and so far this keyboard has my attention. So far I've only tried out the Cherry mx blues and I like them. I'm just waiting for the next drop for the Planck. Btw, how are you liking your Planck?
morpenSwitch Options: Cherry MX Clear (+$15.00). I think Greens were also at an extra.
Keycaps: PBT DSA Black Keycaps for MIT (Cherry) (+$18.99)
Through Hole LED Options: 50 White LEDs (+$2.00)
Assembled/Unassembled: Assembled by Jack (please make sure to select a switch option) (+$17.00)
Case: Bottom Stainless Steel Plate with Padauk Wood (+$7.00)
morpenYou can just fill in "expensive" for the brass and wood options. I bought my caps and switches separately and I still came out to ~$150. Still less than I spent on the granite drop last year...
