Was interested in this, then noticed that Prana uses weird sizing (both S/M/L that don't match the rest of the industry, and numbers 29-36+ but then you have to add one or two inches for waist size) for their clothing lines. I guess the only time I'm buying Prana stuff is when I'm physically in the store to try it on. Which is a bummer, as I really like Prana.
Sometimes this wouldn't be a problem, but I have a 34" waist and somehow wear Prana S in one of their models. So just not risking mixups with online ordering.
RockyMountainsI wish more companies would post the actual measurements of their clothes in this age of vanity sizing and stores that never seem to have anything in stock to try on. For the size 30, for example, I want to know the actual size of the waistband, the size of the leg opening, and ideally the front and rear rise. Then I will know if they'll actually fit me and look OK. Otherwise it's just a crap shoot and I won't buy from anywhere that doesn't offer free returns
I'm the same...I think. I wear a 38 in Prana (usually) and a 40 with everyone else. But I got some Vaha XLs and I couldn't fit one leg into the things. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Why is this so heavy? I weighed my Columbia Trail Shorts, and they're 145g. My ancient CloudVeil Capris are 186g. Even the Columbia "Blue Magic" Water shorts (at $30) are only 168g, and those have an integrated brief.
Thank you all for your interest in this drop, I did not expect to sell through so quickly! I've asked prAna to reserve more units for this drop, and they were happy to! Most sizes are back in stock :)
So I guess I don't understand why Massdrop has limits on how many of a certain size and/or color are available for clothes. If it it's not Massdrop made, they're just submitting a mass order at the same time. It's not like the manufacturer is doing a custom run just for Massdrop.
I'm just grumbling because the size I want was sold out so early.
