6 people should demand a refund and this company to be booted from Drop for highway robbery.
Wayyy too expensive to not come with switches or caps or even programmability! Is this a mistake?

look at @ XD68 CUSTOM MECHANICAL KEYBOARD KIT, feel guilty of the 300$ price tag.

Do you actually want to go to prison for advertising a shiny keyboard with actual KEYS but shipping just a PCB and a case instead?

No QMK, No RGB LED for the 7u Space bar, no pictures of the bare PCB. I could see dropping $200+ for a bare kit with battery and BT if it ran QMK. But this? With no pictures of the PCB? No thanks. Honestly, I would rather have Wood, Acrylic, or Polycarbonate if it is going to be a BT keyboard.

People are probably going to see the price, see the pictures (with switches in them) and assume the board comes like that. I did for at least a few minutes. Can't really justify $300 for just a board, whose build quality is "unknown" for the time being, that I'll have to spend another $100+ to get switches into.

nyiddleThat's exactly what I thought. In none, ZERO, of the pictures, does it show the keyboard with NO switches. It's a "kit" that only comes with the PCB and case, but somehow all the pictures include switches in them. If it wasn't for the description stating that it's just a PCB and case, this would absolutely be misleading rather than just somewhat misleading as it currently is.

I appreciate that the builder took the time to write a long message about his process, experience, and commitment, but the kinds of QA and yield issues he describes are par for the course. Anyone entering into this kind of business should already plan for that and know how to work with the right kinds of suppliers and fabricators to manage it. For this reason, I feel like this product would find a better home on Kickstarter or IGG, which helps industry newbies get up to speed by setting lower expectations. The expectation on Drop is a product whose price directly reflects its value, and whose delivery timeframe is locked in. https://www.kickstarter.com/

I advise people who are new to keyboards. DO NOT buy this. it is overpriced and it is not a full keyboard. We dont even know the quality of the PCB. Not to mention, false advertising with the pictures

superrrThought the details was missing information about switch and keycap options. Figured I'd click buy to see what options there were... It's literally just a case and PCB... People can spend their money on w/e they want, but I hope the 6 people that bought this have money burning holes in their pockets
