I love my silk cocoon liner! I bought it for camping, but now I use it while traveling now too! Such a good purchase!
I wasn't talking about abrasion, unless you went with something like a 7D fabric it should be plenty durable. My point again is protecting and preserving your insulation. I use an Argon (Nylon) quilt liner because I would rather not have to wash my down gear regularly and it works wonderfully in warmer weather. The more you compress and wash an insulation medium (synthetic or down) the sooner it breaks down. When synthetic fibers or GD/DD breaks down you lose loft, when you lose loft you lose insulation/warmth. I would also venture that my quilt liner weighs less than any pair of silk pajamas you could locate.

How well does this fit in a mummy bag?  It looks like it is made more for a rectangular sleeping bag.

Does this zip to open, fold to open, or is it a tube with a sewn foot box?

HatchetmanDoes anyone know the answer to this? Also, anyone have experience with the Traveler? Wondering how necessary the pillow pocket is. How does the Rab product differ form some of the cheaper options on places like Amazon, does this material breath better?
Thanks!

Hey Everyone, love to see you all interested in this drop. Unfortunately it's too late to add the Double liner as an option, but definitely something I will prioritize next time. I was able to get a few more Traveller liners added, but they will go fast so jump at the opportunity while you can!

How much warmth do these add, roughly? Also, could these reasonably be used as a lightweight summer bag by themselves?

Samuel_SturmThese add a few degrees of warmth, maybe 5 at most. I wouldn't advise to use this as a summer bag unless you're in the tropics.

DannyMilksAverage summer night low in my area is 71°F. Sounds like a good summer bag to me!

I already have a pair of silk liners. Just wanted to mention that we don't use them to protect the sleeping bag as much as to add warmth. In fact, I can't use them in the warm seasons because even my bag is too hot. but we camp into late fall when the temps fall into the minus-single-digits (C) and the silk liners become essential. They are VERY warm even though they are thin.

kwillsonI don't think it is. According to rab website the hooded version is 89in in length while this description says the mummy is 73in.
