Indonesia has a rich history with indigo dyes (it's an important center for batik, after all), so it’s no surprise that the country is making waves in the denim world. Among the major players is Sage Read More
I have 2 of these, deep indigo in XL and indigo x black in L.
I find the large size fits me well (I'm a medium slim by Australian sizing with broad shoulders), it's rugged and raw. the indigo x black has a certain stiffness initially that really helps with getting those "honeycomb" fades.
Stitching seems reasonable for the price and the number of pockets are amazing. I fly a lot for work and this is perfect for carrying bits and pieces like your phone, wallet, glasses, headphones, pen and passport with pockets to spare. I could wear a standard jacket but this is way more stylish.
Personally this is a good buy for me. Going to grab a 3rd one in indigo x black cos I like it so much considering how cheap it is for a 14oz denim jacket. A similar nudie jacket costs me double.
As those aforementioned said, the sizing runs small; I would almost compare it to Japan sizing. I normally wear a L, chest 42-44, and had to order the XXL. That said, I knew this upon ordering and the stitching and length are as advertised. Rugged and tough (almost raw-feeling) denim, exactly what I was looking for.
Overall it's a very nice design and overall fit. The stitching is uniform. Although the material looks hard and stiff in the first instance, but it turns out otherwise. It has a bit of give while still maintaining form. One slight annoyance from my perspective is how the palm side pockets were built further back so my hands sit at an uncomfortable angle. This could just be due to my body/torso. However this is now my go to jacket for in between seasons or cooler periods.
Nice design and overall style, with a well considered pocket layout. Stitching is clean and uniform. Material is quite comfortable and not scratchy in the least, yet feels really hard-wearing. As for the appearance at present, it is an interesting blend of chic and rugged, old school and stylish. Wonder how it'll turn out in time :)
Update: The metal button on the cuff of the right sleeve has snapped off. I tried to press it back on, hopefully it'll stay that way :(
This is a quality jacket with great detailing there is one phone pocket on the inside, 2 chest pockets, 2 side pockets and 2 large pockets on the inside of the jacket which are great for your wallet and keys. I got the Black x Indigo Type II Jacket, I cant wait for the fade.
