Nice watch...but a little bit disappointed ! No original "save the Ocean" box but a simple Seiko box, and no warranty card... so, where is the deal ?? the description featured "manual owner, original box, warranty"...and there is only the manual.

Pretty sure this color/version found its way here for the reasons noted by other commenters—it’s the ugly stepchild of an otherwise very nice Seiko lineup. You should buy one to demonstrate your sympathy and compassion. Don’t turn away—ugly Seikos need love too!

Never saw how black and blue worked as color combination—maybe in a fist-fight, not as much in a watch.

RayFSeems appropriate to me, as a thick watch with nicely dented bezel can come very useful in a fist fight - particularly if a cheap one with an easily replaceable movement. Only regret is the lack of applied "Seiko" logo on the bezel, a missed opportunity to tatoo the logo on oponent's forehead during said fight.

I believe the crystal is Seiko's Hardlex mineral, not sapphire as indicated.

eigrpDefinitely NOT sapphire. It is hardlex. Massdrop...wait...COOL DUDE DROP is not known for being accurate.

Great dial. I have the stainless steel version. The dial lume on this version is very cool, same as my samurai Padi. $300 isn’t a super great price, it’s what I paid for my version on amazon a few months after it came out. I also prefer buying my Seikos with a very easy return & replace policy, as its luck of the draw whether or not everything will line up.

Are you comparing the quality control of a $300 watch vs those 10x it’s price?

DocZZZyes and no. That’s really where most of the money goes to on watches. For Seiko, they need to up their quality control on final assembly. I haven’t had a bad movement from them yet (4R series), and it seems most of the gripes I and other have are about items lining up, which I’m guessing is during final assembly. For orient, I’ve been very impressed so far, but I’ve only had one piece in hand. For the Rolex Tudor comparison, it was more towards the design language differences between orient and Seiko. Rolex is the more expensive, restrained version to sister brand Tudor. Seiko is the more expensive, yet more colourful brother to its cousin Orient.
