I've never experienced a sharp knife until I got the ZDP189 Bunka Black Knife. It is life changing. This is the smaller version of that knife ment for smaller, more precise cuts. Even came with the Saya (wooden knife shield). Felt like I needed it to have a set, don't always have to get out the big boy.

Not bad
Very sharp edge, light and versatile. Handle feels cheap and overall unbalanced - wish it was a half gram heavier on the back end.

Very pleased with this knife. Came scary sharp right outta the box. Push cuts through phone book paper with zero effort. Beautiful hamon on it as well. Slices through my food prep like it's not even there. Quite lightweight, and the handle feels great in my size L hands. Highly recommended!

Stellar performing knife...
Undoubtedly the sharpest knife in my kitchen. Holds an edge forever & feels great in the hands. Hard for me not use daily in my kitchen...

Birko69Thanks for the feedback. I’ll probably get one based on your experience. ZDP-189 is a amazing steel. Tough to sharpen though as I’ve heard. The only other knife I own in that steel is a Spyderco Dragonfly. Keeps an edge forever.

winexprtI also have a Spyderco Endura in ZDP-189 & same, edge retention is unbelievable. All I ever do is strop it occasionally & it just keeps soldiering on. It's the main reason I invested in this petty knife...
