hope you guys eventually get your guitars. I used mine for the first time on stage yesterday and it held up pretty well. my performance guitar is a 15 year old Goodall that has a very rich tone to it. while the tak doesn't come close to the goodall's tone, it has wonderful playability, a full and rich sound, and the action is very nice. a great practice and standby guitar for sure...and one of the best deals on MD that I've participated in...
gyamsWell, just received my guitar! It is a beaut and smells very nice and new. The Tak case it comes in is first class also. Only issue I have is that something metallic sounding is moving around inside. I will need to take a look later with a penlight. It could be the electronic pick up (maybe it is not fastened into the base of the guitar??? Does anyone have any idea what it could be? I'm confident that whatever it is it's not likely to be serious. Almost purchased a used 1999 original model for about $650 and it would have been interesting to compare the old original with the new legacy but that is not in my future due to time, money and space!
gyamsJust wanted to clarify my comment about a metallic sound clanking inside the guitar. Turned out to be the keys, in a plastic bag, to the case....Hope everyone gets their guitar!
SunsetShoresI got mine today. This is a really nice guitar. It sounds great. I haven't plugged it in to an amp yet. I've just been playing it uplugged so I did not pay much attention to the pre-amp until I was putting it away and noticed a button that said "tuner". I thought wtf? Pushed the button and damn me if it isn't a built in chromatic tuner. I used a phone app to tune it the first time. There is a video on Youtube that explains how to use the tuner. It is a bit more than just a simple tuner. Even the case is nicer than I expected. I'm very happy with this.
