You’re ready to record high quality audio along with your digital camera, but you’d rather use professional microphones with an integrated interface than a standalone device. A 4-track solid state recorder capable of recording up to 24-bit, 96 kHz audio, the TASCAM DR-60DmkII DSLR Recorder is the high-grade audio interface you need to pair with your pristine picture.
After plugging into the two XLR/TRS inputs, your microphone input is optimized by HDAA preamps with up to 64 dB of gain. If your microphone is a little power hungry, you can easily fold in 48 V of phantom power. To access the other two channels, you’ll need to use wireless or lavaliere microphones through the 1/8” stereo connector. Once you’re all plugged in, you can easily switch between five recording modes to suit your shot: Mono, Stereo, Dual Mono, Dual Stereo, and 4-Channel.
For full convenience, the DR-60D features three outputs: Camera Out to record a reference track on the camera, Line Out to feed a mixer or recorder, and Headphone Out to monitor directly. To optimize your audio on the go, an internal digital mixer lets you adjust pan and level, add a limiter or filter, and adjust individual channel delay. To make sure that the TASCAM DR-60DmkII DLSR Recorder integrates seamlessly with your digital camera, the lightweight and durable body includes tripod mounting on the top and bottom as well as soft-touch controls that keep operation silent.
