Thinksound’s highest-end IEM to date, the USP1 is voiced and assembled by acclaimed audio engineer Aaron Fournier and made here in the USA. It features a black aluminum baffle mated to a metal pewter housing, which is hand-poured locally in New Hampshire Read More
Curious about the design. The cord enters the bud on the end where I would normally be jamming it in my ear with my finger. Looks like you would be pressing up against the cord doing this. Over time I would be worried about failure, especially with fixed cables.
GeorgeMcGorgeIf it's any consolation, I have got these when they first became available in Mass drop and have been using them as my daily driver ever since and never had a problem with the cords or the hinges.
Just got these off Thinksound, it is definitely close to the MS02 in the warmth and the bass of the sound, but also has the clarity of the highs that the Rain03 had.
I absolutely like these and they feel a lot sturdier than the MS02 which were my daily driver IEM up to this day, they has a little more weight to them as these are made with a metal casing rather than wood.
From now on these are my new daily driver IEM.
I would definitely recommend these for anyone who likes the Thinksound sound signature of warmth, bass and clear highs all together.
P.S. for anyone who uses comply foam tips, the T/TX/TS/TSX 400 fits it perfectly.
attached is a family picture of the thinksound IEM line up - it includes every single one including the TS01.1, only missing is the TS01, which was discountinued when I discovered Thinksound.
I also own the ON2, unfortunately I hadn't had the chance to purchase the ON1 which was also discontinued when I discovered Thinksound.
It's not that the USP1 are better than the Rain3, thats just my own preference of more bass and warmth, the highs are almost the same as on the Rain3, so if bass and a little more warmth does not matter to you, the Rain3 are a great choise as well.
I was changing from the TS02 to the Rain3 at the time, so it was very noticable that the bass I like was missing and some of the warmth, thats when I bought the MS02, which were more like the TS02 but with hints of the highs from the Rain3, then came the TS03, which were close to the MS02, and thats when I bought the USP1 which were more like the MS02 with highs of the Rain3, the perfect combination for me.
If you want something thats has more bass and warmth, and don't want to spend 129$ on MD or 179$ on Thinksound, then go with the MS02, I promise you won't be dissapointed...
I'd have to guess this is more of a side-grade from the rain3 as they are fairly comparable price points. Don't have this in my greasy palms yet so I cant say for sure though.
Just got mine today. I like them a lot and they're a solid step up from the rain03 (which I also like a lot). Also the design is great and they're not too heavy which I was worried about.
Just lost my 1More Triple Drivers...these comparable or better? (hopefully better). I always felt there could be more base in those, but they were very clear and had great quality of sound.
kalef21Might be hard to replicate the 1more triple hybrid sound with the thinksound single dynamic. Sound sig appears to be similar though. These are more expensive however.
As a big fan of thinksound, I'm curious about the sound of this product. No measurements of this product yet, right?

Saved for a future drop when my current IEMs start to fail. (no dealers where I live and no amazon shipping to my country means I have to look to places like Mass drop for a possible deal on these).
Hoping to see find some reviews soon to see if they sound as good as they look. It's either this or the ON2 when the time comes. (both if I strike lottery!)
MS01's were my favorite IEMs... lost them in a taxi in Taiwan about 2 years ago... replaced with TS02's (for convenience), which I enjoy a lot, but i miss my MS01s.
I am hoping I enjoy these as much as the MS01s without the heartbreak of leaving them behind.
