Product Description
Like something out of a 19th-century mad scientist’s workshop, the Transformer toothpick crossbow is out of this world in appearance. Regarding performance, it’ll knock your socks off—or your coworker’s Read More
Super cool looking. Didn't buy to shoot things. Bought for the novelty. Both crossbows shoot though they are not accurate I still wouldn't want to get hit by them. They look great sitting on my castle display case.
It definitely looks pretty sweet and is mostly metal stamped and cast, where the toothpick sits is plastic and so are the handles, you have to tweak it to hit the side of a barn but still is cool, a chopstick is a bit thick but cut in half will puncture cardboard easily
The description of this product is not as stated. The handle is not wood, simulated plastic wood. No extra hardware as stated. Even though not needed no owners manual. And where's the Silver Bowman Toothpick Crossbow that's suppose to come with it? I didn't receive one as stated in the description.
Did anyone get the Silver Bowman Toothpick Crossbow that's suppose to come with it?
Not happy.
ZhudMost of their products are just fine, I would blame the vendor or manufacturer. But I was initially interested in this and I thank you for saving me some money and a regrettable purchase.
Like so many other reviews, the handle is not wood, but is plastic, and no spare parts nor Bowman crossbows were received. However, the two Transformer crossbows I received were assembled with no missing parts or shipping damage, and work fine. Also, shoutout to Brett R with Massdrop support: sounds like since the units come straight from Uncommon Carry, there wasn't much he could do, but he offered me either a return for a full refund or keep the product with partial refund for the mistake.
I would blame Uncommon Carry for the lackluster order and missing contents, but Massdrop support making the best of it in just a few minutes of email makes up for it. Besides, I received two crossbows at a good price, and I can't really complain about that.
Not very pleased with the build quality. The cross sections wasn't well fitted and firm so I had to secure it with super glue. Also, nothing but the screws (that become loose and fall off constantly with moderate use) the springs, the wheels and the cable is made out of steel. I don't know exactly what material it is but it's not steel. It might be a cheaper (soft and malleable) alloy coated with chrome paint.
I had to secure the cross section, and the screw, the springs and the wheels with supper glue because they were constantly falling off. I also had to reinforce the two pieces of the "bow" with real steel because they are too malleable and thin...
..And the shooting is not very accurate.
