Kalliumgood luck buying it. They won't take my credit card, want me to send them a copy of my drivers license and credit card statements. Very very Nigerian Lottery if you ask me. I don't trust them one bit. And if you object they want western union, not paypals, and it will take days to approve, because apparently the money still comes by stage couch.
Who from the states has actually used this service? Can anyone give any clue as to their reputation? I would by from massdrop in a heartbeat at any price if they had a top plate I could use in my 60% case.
jceaserI'm in the US and have bought from AliExpress many times without issues. They never asked for my driver's license. I have the same experience with BangGood.
jceaserI wouldn't provide that info either. Perhaps it would help to clear your browser's cookies and try again in a day or so.
For background, AliExpress is part of Alibaba, China's biggest online market. AliExpress is geared to individual sales and has payment escrow policies. Buyers should really check the reputation of the specific seller before purchasing. Overall, it's about on par with Ebay, in my experience. I would never want to use it for something truly expensive. I've used it for perhaps a dozen purchases in the last year for small electronics and boards (typically under $100/transaction) and haven't been shafted by any sellers or phished. Of course, the plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data', so YMMV.
