I think that massdrop would be better without tons of small communities that make things more cluttered. Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but I like how general the communities are now, such as how tech includes computer hobbyists stuff along with cool techy things, or edc includes knives along with other edc stuff. I don't see why we need a knife community because there are already knives on edc. Same thing with the watches and men's style community; I thought that watches was made to lower the amount of watch drops on mens' style, but there are still just as many. Just saying that I think theres no need for new communities for things that are already on here, but for new stuff that doesn't fit into existing communities (cooking), then a new one is good.

derhpI wouldn't mind having plenty more communities than there are now, so long as there was more overlap between communities. Ideally, there would be more obvious hierarchy amongst the many new sub-communities possible.

C.M.GI guess I wouldn't mind that, as long as I don't need to look through so many specific communities to find what I'm looking for.

derhpI think the idea is to give members the option to join broader communities or just niche ones of their own volition; Making the site easier to personalize, in a sense. There is certainly a limit to how far one could subdivide communities and maintain interest and/or activity so I trust MassDrop to makes wise decisions in those regards. Cheers!

C.M.GI think there is already a Watches community that gets cross-listed in Men's Style. I actually wish there was a way to exclude certain sub-communities from view, so that I didn't see a pile of watches every time I checked Men's Style for clothes.

yeah what i meant when I mentioned the watch community was that if they made a knife community, it would be basically the same as the watch community.
