Hey Everybody!
Great News! I got 1500 more units secured for this drop so we have reopened the drop. Based on how quickly they sold out this morning they might now last to long. Get them while you can.
Cheers.
Would you read through hundreds of comments on a single drop among hundreds of drops just to attempt to comfort one person who's unhappy with their wait? This isn't a fancy sit-down restaurant, bro. It's an online middle man for group orders. There is no law that obligates them to give you special treatment by seeking you out in the comments. Go to the help center if you want help, otherwise you're just going to keep feeling ignored. Sounds to me like you've fallen victim to your own sense of entitlement, as is a problem with the majority of Americans anymore.
eastmcduckthese comments didnt happen all at once. they have been pilling up. if i have the time to read them, they damn well should have someone reading them hahahaha.
this isnt about pleasing me personally. again, if i wanted that, i would contact directly. this is about having better customer service, being better at reaching out to your customers as a whole. better at answering question(s) that multiple people have.
they should focus on becoming a better middle man if that is their main service.
a law, lol. maybe i should start a petition to make it a law that MD has to respond to every comment!!!! hahahaha.
for the 1000th time. i dont expect a direct response. i dont even want a direct response on details to my order specifically.
i just wish they would comment in this thread so all customers get the alert and say something like "we messed up, we sent out the last orders first. our first batch that we sent out was for 842 units. have 232 units coming in today confirmed with tracking. these 232 will now go to the first 150 orders and 100% will ship out by tomorrow. the reason you havent received any shipment notification is because we dropped the ball." i hope you get the point or what is expected by the customer.
Our warehouse team is currently working on shipping the last batch of the orders. Based on current estimates the order should be fully shipped by the middle of this week. We will make sure to update the group once the group's complete order has been shipped.
Thank you for your patience. Expect an update from us on 5/5 or sooner if something comes up.
Man, still no confirmation or nothing here (I guess that means I was in the first 150? I actually don't really remember).
I don't mean to whine too much, but doesn't anyone else feel like 47 days is a bit long to wait for delivery in this day and age?
EDIT: Welp. I did it - I broke down and ordered a second controller from Amazon. It'll be here tomorrow. I wish I had done that 47 days ago.
EDIT 2: For those wondering, the Amazon controller cost an extra $8.76. If it arrives here tomorrow, it'll have, at minimum, a 47-day improvement on ship time over Massdrop. Which means that even with the price bump, you only pay a mere 18.6 cents per day saved!
Bought it because I thought it was neat. If I "HAD TO HAVE IT NOW!", then I would have bought it somewhere else and paid extra for fast shipping. Not worried about the delay in shipping. This is a GAME controller people, stop crying.
The vendor is still working on preparing the order for shipment. This has taken longer than usual due to the large size of this order. New updated estimates have the order shipping early next week. As soon as the order is released we will make sure to update the group with the arrival date.
We understand that the additional wait time is undesirable. If you would prefer to cancel your order, please contact Community Support using the “Contact Support” button in your transactions page (massdrop.com/transactions).
You can expect an update from us on 4/13 or sooner if something comes up.
If you have any questions, please visit our Help Center (https://massdrop.com/helpcenter).

And it's all out of order....
You can also tell it's J̶a̶p̶a̶n̶e̶s̶e̶ do to having way more screws than necessary. :-P
EDIT not JP but HK. ^^^^^^^
I was wrong about that part... I'm going to blame time, a lack of sleep, screws and surprisingly good design.
So I got the Super Famicom 8bitdo controller a few weeks ago and it took a long time to ship. Over 2 weeks. When I got it I liked the build quality but the buttons share the same sorry fate of every 3rd party controller replication, they take too much to press, and when they do, they click in. They don't feel like a controller that Nintendo would ever make due to the button press.
The DPad was slightly better but the face buttons and LR triggers were pretty terrible.
On top of that, the keys weren't keyed up properly, as ABXY were paired to 1,2,14, and 13 on a standard directinput controller when plugged into a windows computer. There was no way to change this without using an external program, but since it was an aggressive controller often both inputs were taken in instead of just one.
Protip on what I just said though, you'll be able to key the proper buttons in any emulator just fine using the input configurator, but if you want to use it for other pc games, use steam big picture mode and go into the settings and reconfigure the mapping through the menus. It will let you remap the controller's strange inputs for any game ran through big picture mode.
Other than that, I tried using it in Wii Controller mode with my Nintendo WiiU, and it actually worked better than expected. Only issue was that it was only truly useful with games where you hold the controller sideways, like Mario Maker and ONLY SOME virtual console games. No motion controls, but that was obvious. What I noticed when playing games like mario maker though was just randomly the controller would 'let go' of the directional movement you were holding in Wii Controller mode, making it a bit frustrating.
The absolute best situation I found this controller worked in was paired up with my Android Tablet. Retroarch auto-detected the controller and all of the inputs, and I could start playing the game immediately.
TL;DR Use this controller with an android device and you will never have a single issue, whatsoever. Use it with something else and get ready to be a bit technical because it won't work as expected without a little tweaking. Controller feels ok and design is the best part of it.
JackWitherellThanks for your post. I wanted to buy this to replace my older controllers for my PC but with this I know this isn't for me. Thanks again.
JackWitherellThanks for this info.
Looks like I am going to pass.
As much as I hate Xbox stuff for no reason, the controller works flawless in all my games.
This controller looks great and damn it brings back memories but I don't game on my phone much at all.
Oh well. To everyone else, enjoy it.
