Happy with the price and performance. An equivalent thumb drive would be much slower.

Not at all worth the price. I really feel like Massdrop dropped the ball on this one. Honestly go buy a thumb drive and it’ll be just as good. The speed performance is okay but not too impressive. It feels cheap and shoddy. Very very let down right now.

I have tested a lot of budget drives and I really like this one. For an external 512GB SSD SATA III level drive for under $90 is pretty good. note you can find this drive for about 80 on amazon too... but I digress. I will share 3 other flash drives and a traditional hdd I have and their prices as well for a comparison. You will notice some of the slower ones have different tests but i did that to save on time... I only use the big test files on the faster ones to see if i hit a cache or not and I only do small number of tests on the slower ones because of the slowness of the drive being tested. These drives were all tested on USB 3 or were an internal drive (the hdd was my internal laptop drive) and all but the hdd were brand new flash drives so they had no wear on them. all prices are in USD ADATA SD600 440MB/s External SSD Drive 512GB for about $80
