So since everyone is saying the cheap drives are just as good, I figured I would benchmark these drive since I got them from the last drop of them.

So what this test tells us is that the read speed of the drive is at 365 megabytes per second and a write speed of 217 megabytes per second. To compare this to the Samsung Ultra Fit models I found this review on them https://hddmag.com/sandisk-ultra-fit-review/ and they got an average read speed of 111 MB/s and write speed of 39 MB/s.
So no, you can't just buy a cheap flash drive and think that since they're both USB 3.0/3.1 and they are all the same. Please remember that an interface (ie USB 3.0) only tells you what the theorectical max bandwidth is. The controller inside is what controls the actual speed. If a flash product does not specifically tell you want the read/write speed are, you can assume the controller is garbage.
You can buy a 5pack of PNY 32gb sticks for 30 dollars rn and as low as 15 dollars for 5pack of crap brands. A 32gb stick from anyone is under 10 dollars currently.
What even is this and why is it so expensive?
smallbitFrom my experience, PNY is a crap brand. Got a couple to use on a Mac. Firmware bug inside them turned them into bricks... the only possible fix was a windows app they released to update the firmware. Sucks big time, never again.
Why is there no international shipping? I find myself very rarely wanting to purchase something on Massdrop, and then when I do it never ships outside the US?! I can understand heavier things like computer monitors not being able to ship international without incurring huge rates. But a couple of flash drives that are fairly negligible in weight can't be international shipping? Disappointing...
The specs and title reference the UE700 Pro. The pictures show UE700 drives for 32-128GB and the UE700 Pro for the 256GB. The UE700 and UE700 Pro are different drives with different specs.
