Dissapointing
I wasn't going to review these until I'd had a good amount of time with them.
Comfortwise, as a side sleeper , they're decent enough, better than most of the ones I've tried sleeping with. I am predominantly a side sleeper and the controls do get pressed while sleeping on my side. They don't fall out often which is a surprise.
Lately however the issues that have occurred have made these ready to go in the e-cycle bin.
1) After about 5 minutes, they shut off. Not helpful while sleeping.
2) Charging is questionable. I put them back in their case in the morning and make certain they're still not connected to my phone. I come back in the evening, and they are not at 100%. One may, one may not. Yet both showed the LED light when put in the case. What gives?
3) Lastly, the right earphone now has a jitter sound perpetually. Sometimes it goes away, most of the time it doesn't. I've cleaned them thinking maybe that was it, nope, still occurs.
I wouldn't suggest these to anyone. I'm glad it wasn't a lot of money, but back to the drawing board.

halcyondazeTo address specific comment on your top points:
- If the buds are not connected to the phone, it will auto shut off after 5 minutes of inactivity.
- If the charging case battery is depleted, it won't trigger auto power-on / off. You may be experiencing a variant of that issue.
- Jitter sound definitely seems like defective that has developed over time.
