At some point I lost them, I think in Ohio..? Not sure, my roomie lost his sunglasses too. Is that a thing? I can’t speak to whether the db reduction is accurate, though it was better than a lot of alternatives that I’d tried, more comfortable as well. Overall they did perform pretty well and audio fidelity was better than with standard foam plugs. Easy to lose when get case is a fair bit of effort to get in and out of, but I also stray a lot in venues. I’d buy again if I remembered to. That said I do think there are better performers out there, give or take subjective things like comfort.
Great sound reduction without losing all of the musical goodness. Of course sound reduction isn't perfectly flat across the audible spectrum but that's to be expected as no plugs achieve that.
Like all in ear devices, fit will vary. While, it may be comfortable over a couple hours, I found that leaving them in for extended periods of time results in a "soreness" of the inner ear.
I bought these to use as earplugs on construction and they work perfectly. It blocks out all loud noisy machines but whenever someone is talking to me I hear them crystal clear.
Received these today. Already have a pair of the Rooth plugs. Fun fact- when one takes the element out "Rooth" is stamped on the back. They appear to be completely isolating despite being the 23 dB model. Can't hear a thing with them in. If you're looking for total silence it's cheaper to buy a $5 pack of foam ear plugs. Love the cylindrical case tho. I bought these based on glowing reviews here. Either my hearing is very odd or....
23dB is ideal to use in a high noise environment such as live concert or construction site. Also keep in mind everyone has different ears and hears differently. Bummer it didn't work out well for you.
scuttsThe good news is they work great for motorcycle riding which is the reason I bought them. But I can't hear anyone speaking to me in a normal tone of voice tho.
