JordiUpIn my personal opinion and from what I've read they offer a much clearer and detailed sound. Great mids and highs. Lacks in the base department - if you're a bass head then these are not for you.
They also have a very wide and airy sound stage (which I love). So I believe they are a much better pair than the ATH m50's due to the sound they offer is in line with what I like.
When if comes to high-end headphones they all have unique sound signatures and it becomes more a case of shopping for the right sound preference than necessarily a better and more expensive headphone.
