Ordered this, it finally arrives to my house. Checking the quality, there is absolutely no problems set as far as quality goes. Pattern looks solid and the wrapping around each part is great. There was some shipping damage around the gas lift covers, but they were small chips and not massive cracks that I have seen from other gaming chairs. No tears or damage to the fabric either. Not much AKRacing can do about shipping damage happening. I'm glad that it's not severe so I don't have to worry about any RMA. Overall, very satisfied with this chair. Pretty good quality and while gaming chairs can get some pretty bad rep, I think this is definitely worth the money spent.
The adjustable lumbar pillow feels pretty comfortable, but I personally don't really like using the head pillow that much. Makes my posture feel worse using it. The adjustable armrests are great to use. I missed using these types of armrests.
However, one thing I did not expect is how big this chair is. My family tried sitting on it and they all commented that it's pretty tall as well. Besides that, the padding is good enough for me (especially compared to my old office chair, which was very uncomfortable and had a screw poking out).
Edit: after closer inspection, the only thing that really did leave much to be desired was the threading. The front part of the AKRacing threading has some of the thread loose, but other than that, it's still a nice chair in the end. I'm not docking a star since you won't be staring at the thing when you're sitting down. The threading as a whole is still consistent outside of some tiny threading that's sticking out.

Excellent chair, firm, but very comfortable! I love the side bolsters as they help give support when I'm using my pedals and the head rest pillow is a great place to stuff my excess Rift cable. All in all it's very comfortable whether I'm programming all day or gaming. I love this chair. It's very well built as well.

This is the second AKRacing chair I've purchased through Massdrop, and again, it's my opinion they build quality products. The chairs feel so sturdy, supportive and comfortable; even after hours of use my legs and feet don't go numb, my lower back feels fine, my neck and shoulders are relaxed and loose, and I've never had the feeling the foam has turned into concrete like some cheaper chairs I've tried in the past. I'm 5'9" at 205 LBS, and the LX fits me perfectly. I've discovered if you want a chair that is comfortable for years with all the available adjustments, and is properly supportive, you're looking to spend at least $200-$250 just to come close. I paid $250 for each of my AKR chairs, and they are well worth the money, the two I purchased both listing for over $500 each. Also, this last chair I bought had a couple damaged trim pieces from shipping; AKR customer service responded to my email within a day, and immediately shipped the two replacement parts after verifying my Massdrop order and shipping address. I recommend anyone give their chairs a try.

Do you want to receive a faulty product and then be ignored and waiting for a response on how they will fix your extremely overpriced broken chair? Then buy this product! Seriously, for a product this expensive / overprice (you can find something basically identical for like 150) I expect stellar customer service, barring that at least passable customer service. It has been almost 2 week. They have sent me 2 emails asking for my order number and address. I had given that information to them in the literal first email I sent them. I also sent all that information to the initial inquiry on their website before the email chain started. I have sent all that information twice and they are asking for it again. So they have spend 2 weeks wasting my time while I have a VERY OVER PRICED BROKEN CHAIR.

Product material is great, no problems there. QC wise, that's lacking as i almost had to break my wrist to put the final wheel, also had issues when installing the back onto the seat as the screw hole wouldn't line straight. Also really disappointed at akracing for the base connection, like srly? if you lift the chair, the base where the wheels are falls off, i think it could've been done better if it screwed on or if it was some locking mechanism to keep it in place. Also the clip for the neck support could've been done better, as if you move it too much it unclips itself from one side and you have to do the whole shenanigan again. Keep in mind those are my opinions and they may or may not match yours as this is a mass produce product from the manufacturer they got in china, so it could be an isolate issue or maybe not, i'm not god so i don't know the answer to this issue.

Really good looking and of great quality. Very uncomfortable. The lumbar support is way too big, so whenever the lumbar support is installed there is no space for my legs. Without the lumbar support, it is just a normal chair that makes my back hurt. Please make a smaller lumbar support. Or at least a softer one. Ibwouldnt even mind paying extra for a lumbar support that doesnt make my gaming sessions a pain. Also, i am 5'9. So i am not even a big guy. My legs are a little bigger than average because I am a bodybuilder

Hey @AKRacingSupport , I have been using this chair for about 1.5 years now, and its been fine, but now that i have an issue, and opened a ticket, im not getting support for fixing it. Like others I am having issue with the recline part of the chair base. I opened a ticket and got response for about 2 weeks, but it was a lot of back and forth that really couldve been in a single email, but the tech kept asking single simple questions that shoulve been in one email. Now that i answered what i assume are all the questions, ive had no additional contact for over 3 weeks. Ive asked repeatedly for updates, and even contacted support again separate from that ticket asking for someone else to check on my ticket. NOTHING. This is rediculous.

UPDATE, the replacement broke forever ago. I did not call back again, because I wanted to end the circle of broken chairs. Sorry for the extreme delay, I didn't care enough to respond until I saw this post while skimming through my account.

thank you! I think I found the source of the issue but it is not something that i am capable of fixing myself. This is due to the fact that 2 pieces that are supposed to be screwed tightly together have coroded (I think) and now do not stick as tightly, causing the armrest to unscrew the locking mechanism from the armrest arm if rotated counterclockwise with enough force (not much force at all). Im not sure if this is just something that happens over time, something I have done wrong, or just unusual, but I hope this info helps the people at AKRacing. Edit - after further investigation, I have realized that those 2 parts couldwere probably meant to be one single part but coroded and is now 2 seperate pieces that make the locking mechanism all whacky and counterclockwise turns now cause it unscrew. Unfortunate but it does put me a bit at ease to know exactly what the issue is. Edit 2 - Managed to fix it enough for comfort by simply supergluing those metal pieces back together. Still a little sketchy and Im not going to test the strength of the bond.
