I originally got it just for camping. I like it so much that I take it everywhere. It's been in Japan, Canada, Mexico, Singapore, and the Philippines. It's great that it fits in a cargo pocket. Which means it also works great at a mall for a place to sit while the wife is shopping. The only downside is that it has no back support but that's easily fixed with a close wall or tree. Thank you so much for making a small lightweight stool that has a higher weight capacity. I've been using it for around a year now and have had no issues with it. One happy customer here how always recommends your product wherever I am.
RichSchwartzThank you so much for your review. Glad it has worked out so well for your needs.

I'm a photographer and often hike in to photograph wildlife. I sometimes spend a lot of time waiting for the shot and having a lightweight stool is just what I needed. They also make great foot rests in conjunction with our full size camp chairs when we're car camping.

A sturdy stool that is high enough to make it easy to stand after a long day of hiking. A bit heavy for backpacking, but overall good quality build.

I love this stool! I bought it for myself and my boyfriend to use for backpacking trips but it now comes with us on daily hikes, the beach and anywhere else there may be limited seating like outdoor concerts, firework shows, or even a BBQ at a friends house. It packs up so small and lightweight its so easy to bring anywhere. I feel like it really holds your center of gravity. I've used it on uneven/rocky ground and never felt like I was going to fall over. Really a great product and I've recommended it to my other outdoor friends and they love it too!

Very janky chair
It's too heavy for what it is, and it's not comfortable at all. It's a pretty bad design. Because there are only two bars on the seat, it's only taut across the middle so it wants to tip you forward and backwards. I got it because it was cheap, now I see why it was cheap. Save your money.

Light weight stood but unstable
I bought this stool for my 78 years old Mom and she said it is very very hard to put the top together. It is a light weight stood but unstable.

I've enjoyed the TriLite Stool. I also have an Alite brand and, depending upon the use, I do sometimes like the TriLite better. The advantage of it is that it is so easy to set up. I can pull it out of my pack and be sitting on it in just moments Putting it away is just as easy. The disadvantage is weight. I wish they could offer this model in titanium. Price was also a big advantage. Most of the lightweight chairs you can find are much more expensive.

Perfect for my day trip bag!
It is heavier than i wished but it is also the XL version. It doesn't take up much space (think the size of a large thermos container) and fits my day trip bags easily. Love taking it to the beach and plan to take it fishing!
