This belt is amazing and fixed all the issues with the older versions (buckle bulge in front, clip too large to fit through belt loops, daily belt “creep” making it loose). This iteration is the pinnacle of perfection. No complaints this time around. Worth every cent.

Strong materials, easy use, and smooth function. The sound of latching and unlatching is super satisfying. Latching up gives you the feeling of suiting up to take down baddies with 007. Unlatching is so fluid, you could get naked faster then Bruce Almighty.

The short first. I like the belt, would buy again and would recommend it. I have had it now about 2-3 weeks and wear it daily. Now the long. The "small" end of the buckle consists of a metal "hook" that fits in the larger "clasp" part of the buckle. The buckle hook is too wide to fit in the loop of a standard Leatherman case. This is of no fault of the manufacturer or the belt itself. The construction is fine. I personally wear a leatherman most every day so it was disappointing the belt end would not fit the case. The fix is to undo the clasp side of the belt and feed just the nylon belt itself through the Leatherman case. Just a bit of a PITA. The nylon belt itself is quite stiff. Intrinsically this is not an issue however, it is difficult to have the clasp portion of the buckle lay flat with the belt being so stiff. It will probably lay flatter with time. I like the look and the build looks to be durable. My "complaints" are really just observations based on how I personally wear my belts and opinion.

Perfect as a work belt.
I work in AV production and tend to hand a myriad of things in my pockets and on my belt, from large bunches of keys and access passes to multitools and comms packs. Sooner or later my pants tend to fall down, which can't be happening 10m up in the air on an EWP or on stage in front of a significant amount of people. This has been great as an everyday belt and is really useful when there's minimal time for pee breaks and you just gotta go. I've set it once about two weeks ago, which was harder than I expected due to the stiffness of the nylon sash, but I've never had to adjust it since, even with multiple 14 hours work days. One thing I can't figure out is if the trigger button is meant to be on the bottom or on the top?

It's okay but too difficult to adjust after meals...
I own a lot of belts ranging from Portland Saturday market custom hippie leathers to Western wear to department store designer belts and, I'm sorry, the CARBON TACTICS EPOCH is underwhelming compared to the most simple off the rack designs. Not that it's all bad—the quality of materials is there—but this is a plain jane bare bones design: narrow width, stiff as a piece of sheetmetal and awkward to adjust. The human body is not always the same size from day to day and some pants sit higher or lower on the waist and require adjustments in belt size. And trying to adjust the Epoch an inch larger or smaller is like arm wrestling a bull constrictor. This design just ain't thought out carefully. Granted, if you always wear the same pants and never bloat from a visit to the buffet, the set adjustment stays put. I need a belt that allows a quick and discreet adjustment after a meal and the Epoch does a face plant in the quick and easy adjustment department.

Very happy with belt, a bit stiff until broken in
Awesome belt, would buy again if this one ever breaks (I would be suprised if it did though). Belt was a bit long, so I cut it a little shorter and used a lighter to seal the end.

By the way, the quick release is such an incredible thing. I think a slightly stretchy version of this belt with optional glow in the dark carbon fibre strands that can match any RGB color you choose on the website, both the belt and the fibers are 100% customizable via RGB pallet. Of course this is me living in a fantasy world, I'm sure that would cost an arm and a kidney to research and produce.
League544A more flexible or stretchy option is definitely possible. It's something we might do someday. Not so sure about RGB, might be a fantasy, but might be the future too ;) Who knows. I appreciate your taking the time to reply and understand where we're coming from.

Updated Review: Great Belt
Edited Review*** Previous Review After Current** So...I left this belt at a friend's after visiting and had to use my old one that wasn't quite destroyed yet. I missed this new belt a lot. Initially, I thought the belt wouldn't stay in place at all but after wearing it more/breaking it in it stays. I'm very happy with this belt thus far and I'm glad I bought it. Apologies to Carbon Tactics or anyone my review affected Great Belt 👌 * I feel like I'm always on the hunt for something just right for everyday wear, like a belt that holds position and doesn't stretch out holes. Well at least there's no holes on this one! To me $60 is a lot for a belt and I expect one at that price range to work, this one does not. Sure it clicks and the buckle is cool but it doesn't hold its position....the main point of a belt. I constantly readjust it and each time say a little prayer that this time...this time it won't slip. Cool buckle, bad belt

Great and comfy
This review is for the belt. So the belt is great, it’s thin comfortable seems rather strong as well. Took a little getting used to putting it on but not bad. The buckle or latching mechanism is much smaller and thinner than I expected. Which is great for my intended use as an inner belt under my duty belt. Now the bad part. I have only received 1 belt when I ordered 2. I have contacted drop but days later now I haven’t heard anything from them. My invoice and online receipt clearly says quantity 2. I understand mistakes are made. But I expect a bit better customer service. If this level of service continues I will not be purchasing through drop anymore. This is not the first time.

@orion_2280 Try contacting massdrop support (again). I’m sorry you haven’t gotten a response yet. I wouldn’t be surprised if the holiday has them backed up. We ship to them in bulk, and they ship to you. Thanks @Drewzilla for being the honorary customer service rep for a bit :) (edited after realizing you already contacted drop support)

They did finally respond just before the holidays. They refused me the cost of one belt. Which is satisfactory. Just disappointed because I wanted 2, and they failed to pack the other or miss ordered the proper amount from yall. Not the first time I have had an issue similar to this. Still loving the belt though. Has been the best inner belt I have used. Much more secure than the cheap Velcro ones. But still just as thin. No where near the cumbersome buckle as the 511 stuff. Very light weight as well. Got enough weight on my hips, with the gun belt.

good quality
Product is made of good materials and well made. You may like the double layer or biothane versions better. Works as described.
