caveat emptor
Sorry massdrop but these are no good. Can't recommend this ssd to anyone.
very high DOA rate and lots of dead units starting after just 2 months of light I/O use!! unacceptable.
price vs performance is amazing, and these drives are very fast. but they are completely unreliable !!!
I got more than 100 units of the 120GB model for a (sponsored) tech project. built machines using these, and had 12 (!!) units fail on me in less than a year. it's not a bad production series, it's a bad product. And I got them from different vendors with varying mfg dates...
For $280 i would definitely recommend getting the Crucial MX300 over this.
EDIT - Here, I even have a couple of these laying in my drawer gathering dust. One unit was refused warranty (by vendor, not manufacturer).. On early production units Corsair decided to put their void stickers in a place where it can easily get scratched when installing the SSD in a drive cage. check the two images for the difference...
I'm afraid this SSD is one big.. facepalm
I was looking for that info in the comments but couldn't find your comment regarding dram cache.
Can't seem to find an NVME MX300, they're all sata. I have many m.2 slots but I'd rather not waste them on slow drives.
I have this exact drive since 2016 and it’s worked great. The price has skyrocketed on these drives (purchased for $235 in Late 2016 at non sale price from newegg), I would consider getting another one but not at the current price.
Crucial MX300 1TB for 274.99. Has better reviews and reputation
https://goo.gl/j4TRrz I imagine Corsair is still a pretty good SSD. But if you have to wait a couple of weeks or so to receive the SSD from Corsair for $5 more, why not get the SSD you'll get in less than a week?
nonsense73i'd just get the 1.1tb mx300 m.2 drive if we're comparing drives. for $286, you get a smaller footprint, no cables, nvme over sata and more capacity over the corsair drive.
Howdy All,
We got in contact with the vendor today and were able to get a slightly better cost on this product. In turn we have lowered the drop price down as well.
Side Note: While I do understand the popularity of Samsung drives as they are good quality and well marketed, in this case I am not sure why you would choose a Samsung 1TB 850 EVO over this drive. The Corsair drive has faster Sequential Read & Sequential Write Speeds.
Cheers.
Hello Everyone,
This product will have the full 3 year product warranty directly with Corsair. Once I am able to I will update the specs section of the drop to reflect that.
Side note: We are in direct relationship with Corsair and these drives are being supplied by Corsair US.
Cheers.

Why would I get this over a Samsung 850 Evo? I would like a Steam drive, but I am always seeing better and better deals. That said, I have an intel SSD and a Samsung 850 Evo, and I cannot tell them apart performance wise.
Cheaper? 1TB 850 EVO is $300 on Amazon right now. I have no idea what they were thinking posting this deal at $300. It makes no sense to buy this drive instead of the EVO. Plus you have to wait!
