After several years, they're still holding up. They're cracked, of course, but I don't think you can expect something like this to hold up for long. I would definitely recommend them.
I got the Elite Sheepskin and they're easily one of the most comfortable things I've ever put on my head. The memory foam is thick and squishy and the sheepskin is silky soft. Great improvement to sound solation over my years-old stock pads. Even if you don't care about the Soundstage, just get them because they're so damn comfortable!
A good replacement fit for Audio Technica ATH-M50s, pretty close to the original. However, the sound produced by the headphones is pretty terrible.
Prior to these I was trying some Brainwavz HM5 Earpads - the sound quality is dramatically better with the Brainwavz pads! However, they're quite a bit thicker which increases the clamping force of the headphones, which hurts my jaw after about an hour.
I've gone back to the Brainwavz pads because the sound quality is just so much better.
The velour ones were exactly what I was looking for. My old (original) pads had become incredibly flat and the speakers sitting directly on my ears was super uncomfortable. These new pads are far thicker, alleviating all discomfort and allowing me to enjoy my headphones for hours at a time. The headphones are much less sound isolating now, but I work in a fairly quiet office and I can just turn the music up louder. Such a coincidence that Massdrop had pads for my headphones at exactly the moment I was looking for them! You guys never disappoint.
Very comfortable and fit well on the ATH-M50. Downside is a little bass loss and less sound isolating than the pads the headphones originally came with.
They are very comfortable, but with my closed back Sennheiser HD 280 PROs, the velour pads didn’t work at all; which was pretty disappointing because they fit like a glove. I guess I’ll just have to get some open back headphones to to test them with.
