I have Elex's and wouldn't mind them either having a.) a bit more bass, b.) a bit more treble sparkle, or c.) just more energy or dynamic of a sound. Can anyone comment on if one of these pads in particular might be a good choice for me, or should I just stick with stock?

sorry Man. I do not have Elegia. Look my picture under Dekoni Focal pads (The second from recent) Only Elex, Celestee, Clear Pro, Radiance From my prospective the Stellia Limited Edition Pads have been designed for close back Focals, so. IMHO from the all variances they are the best for Elegia. I have installed them on my Radiance and Celestee. Very happy with that. Regards, Kim

Thank you so much! I got the perforated sheepskin and the sound is exactly like you described. I tested it by listening to different hz of sinewave sound and the perforated sheepskin did bring up a bit of sub-bass until around 150hz and tiny tiny bit of highs. Since I normally enjoy slight V-shaped sound signature a lot this just makes the Elex even more enjoyable for me. Your thorough testing and description really helps a lot!

Barely a sale price at all. I've bought numerous Dekoni pads from Massdrop in the past, often waiting for good prices and willing to wait to get a good price, but there's actually no point in this drop at these prices.

I got the fenestrated version for the clears and I really dig the black-on-grey look. They also make the bass sound fuller. Unfortunately, these feel a lot more stiff compared to the stock pads and as a result changes the comfort a lot. I have a wide head and these almost hurt with my glasses on... They also don't seal as well as a result.

TrixbunnyI've tried the velours and sheepskin on the Elegia. The velour sound horrible, they cause some bad peaks in the treble region but on my Clears they were acceptable. I have the sheepskin on my Elegia now and swap between the stock pads and these every now and then but haven't done any significant A to B testing. To my ears they add bass without messing with the stock tonality much. I'm not really capable of going into more detail than that. Overall I prefer the stock pads with EQ but these are a fine replacement if you want a cheapish replacement or want to add some bass without fiddling with EQ.

What would be a good replacement for the 58x? Suede or velour deeper and wider and cushier than the stock pads? Thanks.

Dekoni has some fenestrated sheepskin pads on sale for $50 with a small manufacturing defect. Got mine there. They work perfectly on the Elears. https://dekoniaudio.com/product/manufacturing-defect-dekoni-audio-elite-fenestrated-sheepskin-earpad-set-for-focal-elear-clear-utopia/

lalawilsonLol. Forgot to post back😐 On Elear they really bring a more balanced presentation. You still get the forwardness of the bass and the treble is slightly easier on the ears, the mids though come through a bit more for an overall smoother listen than with stock. Think HD650 but not as dark/warm, just better. Not going back to stock pads for the Elear. On the Elgia they just suck the life right out of them, at least to my ears. No bass, tin can treble and mids so far away, lol Iike dollar store headphones... These are the elite hybrids and I very much recommend them to Elear owners, but they are just not for Elgia. Hope this helps you guys.

Has anybody tried hybrid or sheepskin pads with Elegia? What are the differences from the stock pads?

Cynical_ManI have both. The Sheepskins definitely add more to the low end (not a ton, but it is a welcome increase) and makes them a bit more V-shaped (just more so over their current FR). The hybrids add some more to the lows as well, but not as much as the sheepskin and more to the mids and highs as well - a more gentle V-shape. I personally keep the sheepskin pads on them as they're closest to the Stellia pad and push the Elegia in that direction FR wise.

Got a pair of the sheepskin that came with my pre-owned Clear, makes it sound completely lifeless.
