Used them on the 58X
Incredibly thick and soft, would use these over stock pads based on comfort alone.
The sound adds more bass probably cause of how thick the Dekoni Velour pads are, but it muddles the rest which wasn't my cup of tea.
mine started falling apart from the inside so I took them off and looked the glue just stopped holding apparently I had to completely re-glue it which wasn't easy when you have to hold it together until the glue can hold, my 7xx pads also had a pretty poor gluing (glue all over the back) for the price of these I expected better qc
crashn2me61that was what I used was still pretty difficult trying to hold the fabric that came off in place with one hand while also keeping it at an angle that you can reach with the glue
Believe I’m coming up on around 2 1/2 years of usage and the pads themselves are in great condition. Leather has held up well, the foam too. The adhesive they used to glue the leather to the plastic on the inside did not hold up though. They were great, but I was expecting at least 4-5 years out of them. I ordered some for my xm3s, which see a lot more use so I hope those hold up too.
I got these to pair with my HD 6XX's since the stock pads hurt my ears because of my glasses. The memory foam is VERY comfortable for long listening sessions (12+ hours) and I have not noticed any sound quality changes/degredation from the stock pads. Maybe the sheepskin ones change it but the velour ones do not. And even if they did, if the stock pads hurt, why not use something more comfortable?
I love dekoni pads and these are no different. My one caveat for these pads specifically is that they do come a bit stiff out of the box. But once you wear them in a bit, they get a bit softer and sit on your head a lot nicer and more comfortable than out of the box. My 6XX are my daily drivers along with these pads and I enjoy every minute of it.
These perforated leather ear cups are the bees knees! I can keep them on for an entire day and not feel like my head is squished. But if you have oily skin it will make you skin feel a little oily after long use.
