Really closed in the 553 Pro with better dynamics and is cooler (temp)
The K7xx and k702s responded beautifully to the pads. (AKG stock pads were interesting in 2005 with the k701 but these are much nicer.)
My first thought now is switching stock earpads.
Really love the selection of materials both on the inside of the cup and the outside. Went with the Elite Hybrid fenestrated sheepskin version and am extremely pleased with them.
Totally refreshed my enjoyment of my k712 pro, thank you DROP and DEKONI <3
Very Smooth & High Quality, But Warm in Summer also
I choose the fenestrated sheepskin version.
The cushions are very soft than stock but very supportable without sagging.
The sheepskin surface is also soft.
The height of the cushion is slightly higher than the stock, so it is comfortable because it does not press ears on the inside.
Also, it looks as great as the price of the product.
I like the sound as the booming of the bass is reduced and the treble is clearer.
But it is still warm in summer like stock pad.
I purchased the velour ear pads, and would buy them again if that was the only option. I will be purchasing a pair of the sheepskin ones, once the velour one wear out.
I don't think they have memory foam, like came with the original ear pads. I prefer not having memory foam as it stay warmer, and does not seal as well over time.
They make an already extremely comfortable pair of headphones and make them even more comfortables. The leather ones will make bass more "oomphy" but reduce soudstage
Very comfortable, but negatively affects the soundstage
These are very conflicting for me. They are far more comfortable than the stock pads. The leather on the inside does not scratch up against my ears and the cups are deeper so the fabric against the drivers doesn't either. The foam used is also more firm, so it helps with the creaking that some AKG headphones have. The only complaint I have is that the soundstage feels a lot more closed in now. I think I'll keep using them anyway, since they are still enjoyable to listen to.
Got these because my K7XX headphone had gotten a bit worn down from all the use. Decided to go balls to the wall and get the fenestrated sheepskin and boy oh boy do they look good. They are also a bit thicker so the very tips of my ears do not touch the inner wall of my headphones. Overall, it's pricey... but it's definitely quality.
