Fun pen with a really dramatic look. Make sure you know what you're getting into with the "raw" brass, it picks up a patina pretty quickly. The grip on mine looks more or less like the photo but the body turned a duller brown, which is cool, but a matter of personal taste. The grip is a neat, unique mechanism but unfortunately also a weak point. It has a little insert near the tip that keeps it from unscrewing all the way off the body, but it's just held in by tension. That means you have to either not slide the barrel all the way back, which leaves it a little loose when writing, or twist it back far enough that it "locks" but starts to nudge the insert out. After about a year and change of irregular use I have to push the insert back in every time after writing.
