How is it that I get 3 emails from Massdrop a day - and never, once, saw an email for this drop??
Please bring it back for a re-run. In the awesome purple they have.
This is so weird. I received an update a few days ago regarding the bulk order being shipped to the Massdrop warehouse but then no further shipping update after that. I was therefore surprised (but pleased) to receive my guitar yesterday, but then today I get an email saying shipments are being prepared :-). Is there some sort of delay in sending out Massdrop notifications :P
Just about there! We've been in touch with the vendor regarding the group's order and they've let us know that they are still working to gather and pack the group's order for shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey. We will continue to check in with them throughout the fulfillment process and update the group again as soon as everything is en route to us!
Expect another update from us on 1/10 or sooner if something comes up.
If you have any questions, please visit our Help Center (https://massdrop.com/helpcenter).
Thanks again for joining this drop! We have submitted the group's order with the vendor for the ESP LTD EC-401QMV See-Through Aqua Guitar and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them. The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 1/13.
We will keep the group updated throughout the fulfillment process. You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 1/3.

Something to consider:
Saying they were founded in Tokyo leaves readers to think it's made in Japan and not where it's actually manufactured in China.
I think it's a poor business practice for massdrop not to list the country of origin because it infers that it's made somewhere else by saying "Swedish design" or "founded in Tokyo".
Consumers get swept up in the deal and all too often find it's simply another average quality mass production shiny object.
These often sell new for this price at a local GC as they are often marked down AND you can also return them if you don't like the feel of the neck (this is common with guitar players) and although they aren't bad guitars, you can find higher quality slightly used guitars at similar prices that play better, have better fret work (if you are an intermediate guitar player or above you will want to do a fret level on these guitars) and will continue to hold their value.
(BTW I have made purchases from massdrop, I'm not a hater. I'm an experienced musician and own a medium size retail business that is NOT at all music related)
