Just received my Jaipur pens today. Real shocking smell. Please don't sell anymore. Embarrassing really. Shock of my life. If I use them people will think I am mad. Better use the pilot metropolitan animal series fountain pain. No pain or smell.

willie2849After a a 2-3 hour soak in Dawn the smell has diminished almost entirely for the samples we received. I would suggest giving this a try.

In for a flex and a stub. Been wanting to try out FPR, read a lot of good reviews. At the commit price this is practically half off. with 2 pens plus upgraded nibs, you’re at $42. $49 will get you free shipping, so you buy an extra nib. Right now though FPR throws in a free pen with purchase, Also noticed they now have gold flex nibs. MD please try and get that in the next time around.

Past experience with cheap Indian fountain pens has been awful. That said, one should always be willing to give a pen a 2nd chance. Besides I've never tried FPR.

Great to see FPR on massdrop! i have 6 FPR pens, I love em. Jaipur is a great model and a great intro to fountain pens. For beginners, I suggest a fine or medium nib. But the flex nib is a hoot!
