Always getting compliments on my bag and I love the pressure cleaning feet off and minor dish cleaning while camping. Highly recommend. Great build quality as well.
It is innovative in that it has a pump to let you spray out water to wash hands or share a drink with someone but it did get the water hot after 5 to 6 hours of being in the sun but I guess that is why they sell insulator bags for hydration bladders in general (psst... quick search)
I purchased the 650 Camo/Orange version
Not going to lie, I expected this to be mediocre. With the steep discount at the time and the "tacky" camo option that was left, I didn't have high hopes.
Then I got it, then it sat a couple weeks, then I started to hike some buttes with it.
I was impressed with the compactness of the kit. The bladder is great, has pressurization if that interests you(I don't use it as I don't find it necessary and would rather have the internal of the left strap pump-free), the mouthpiece end of the bladder fits nicely into the right strap and can be zipped back in and out of the way when not needed, and the cap on the mouthpiece is one-hand/mouth operable so you can re-hydrate while still pushing.
The pockets in this thing are numerous, and I only recently realized just how many there are. Do yourself a favor upon receiving this and do a thorough deep dive into the storage compartments and all of their respective pockets/zippers.
It's nice to be able to quickly access cliff bars in the vertical outermost pocket. Key's/Phone/Wallet are easily stored away in the pouch with the 'Geigerrig' text at the top, and any other layers/shells roll up easily and can be stored in the innermost large compartment.
The zippers are robust and the 'pull tab' style pieces attached are something I didn't know that I needed until I realized just how nice it makes being able to open/close pouches without having to have eyes on it.
The exposed outer pocket can be tightened/loosened as needed based on your storage needs at the time and can be very helpful for quick-access items.
Overall, I am very grateful for this pack and am glad that I made the leap of faith even though I had low expectations. It's leaps and bounds above my previous REI Flash 18 I was using before. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a capable pack to push their local trails with.
Use mine mostly MTB and trail running. A bit bigger than I'd normally use for running, but has loads of room for layers / emergency kit. Would recommend 👌
Great addition to my mountain bike rides. Light weight and lots of easy to access pockets. Hydration system is the best I've seen. Easy to fill and clean bladder is awesome!
