Not seeing a deal here at all. Just about every one of these watches can be picked up for $269.99 at Ashford (using discount code SC10PNOVP) with immediate shipping.
Glycine watches look like every other desk diver Swiss watch that take inspiration from the top tiered brands. Mid tier brands such as Cerntia, Hamilton, Tissot, Mido among others all have a similar style and price range as Glycine. Though Glycine is skirting the line of being a homage brand. Glycine watches can be had at bargain prices all over the net. Must be a reason they are being closed out at such low prices. Nothing against the company, I own a brass combat. It is a decent watch for the price. I just don't like their dive styled watches. To similar to other watches. A Seiko is a better watch maker in my opinion.
cbsbyteTo some extent you're correct, but the same can be said of many luxury tier watches. Originality, whatever that means these days, is pretty rare, and mostly found in microbrands. As far as specs go, Glycine beats out Seiko in almost every regard, except for the latter's higher end pieces which cost much more. And Glycine is a good deal less expensive than Mido, Hamilton, Certina, etc., so in terms of bang for the buck they're pretty hard to beat.
These watches are among the truly great horological bargains, but they can be had for similar prices from several well-known outfits which will deliver in days, not weeks or months...
For a second there, I thought I was looking at the new style Squale. Nice watch, I just don't see what distinguishes it from all the other watches that look like they have the same "mom & dad."
Anyone got their Combat Sub from the latest Drop yet? Just realised that I didn't check the scheduled delivery date so I'm impatiently waiting for mine =)
