MaverickAHThat little “unboxing” review is a joke. Anyone who judges decent ‘phones (or any ‘phones really) right outta the box is a joke. Dude gives the Meze Rai Penta a “B-“ grade and categorizes it as a warm v shape with “Pleasing tonality with subpar technical ability.” No. Just...no. If that’s how he hears the RP I question his methods and/or hearing and don’t trust anything he has to say about how a product sounds. Stick to measuring I say.

SoixIve heard and posted my review and measurement of the GL12. its pretty bad and eq couldnt save it.

Yuck. That’s about the worst thing I’ve ever seen written about any audio product. Assuming your sample was working properly it’s hard to imagine why Gold Planar would even release such a flawed product.

SoixAn AM radio sounds nothing like that description though, so the review is dubious.
