Bought this regular fill verson in tandem with a new Revelation quilt. I usually sleep warm, but being new to quilts thought this would be a good idea. Especially important for me as I had a neck injury and need to keep it warm at night. LOVE THIS! It tucks down onto my shoulders, allows me to tighten up the exposed face, is super light and almost a perfect fit when tucked into my quilt. Used it last weekend on a local backpacking trip. Weather into the 30's and winds up to 50 mph driving heat away from tent. Was super cozy, and comfortable. This made a huge difference. Buying now for my wife and Scout son too.

Got the base no overfill. Tested in the North Cascades a couple weeks ago in rain, sleet, snow. High 20s outside tent, 30F inside tent. Paired with Katabatic quilt. Warm noggin to 30F as advertised. Think it'll do fine to high 20s w beanie and low 20s w beanie and down puffy hood. Happy with the warmth to oz ratio.

Makes a big difference

I got the overfilled version, to use both with a quilt and a hoodless down jacket. It's very compact and remarkably warm for the tiny size and weight, And IMHO 1000% more useful than the down hat Massdrop has sold.

Very light, but definitely underfilled with the normal fill option. The larger baffles have half an inch or so of dead air on all sides, abd even the smaller ones have extra space. Its reasonably warm, but marginally colder with my quilt than the Chinese knockoff this was supposed to replace. Double fill is absolutely worth the extra 10 dollars, if this product is worth it to you at all. I don't see any mention of ethical down on the goosefeet website, so I have to conclude you pay 35 dollars over the knockoff to save 20 grams, and there don't seem to be any other meaningful differences. If you're curious, the mass drop cost about 10 dollars less than buying direct from goosefeet, but you can customize color on the web page.
