I got my inks today and already loaded them into some demonstrator pens. The Cobalt Blue and Deep Sea Green are absolutely lovely.
Anyway, I know that there's been concern about it in the past, but this time at least, my inks were very well packaged. The individual ink boxes were swathed in bubblewrap and packing tape on top of the standard packing filler in the box. They arrived in great condition. The corners of the boxes still look awesome.

MiyuMine were very well packaged as well; everything went smoothly, and I'm very happy with the inks. If it weren't for the fact that I JUST bought 150 mls of expensive ink ;) I'd be joining this drop right now...

I am a serial ink collector and already have Stone Gray and Hazelnut Brown. They are nicely behaved and shade well. Stone Gray is a light gray from my experience with it. While I don't use brown inks all that much, Hazelnut Brown is a go to ink for me.

I just checked my favorite European pen/ink sites; assuming the Euro holds its value against the dollar, the lowest Massdrop price here is a good deal, even with tax and shipping. Of course, there's also the fact that you'll get it directly from Massdrop, instead of trying to puzzle through European shipping. I'm in for Midnight Blue and Royal Blue; I've got both coming as cartridges in the next day or two. I already know I like Stone Grey and Cobalt Blue, so in the unlikely even I don't like the new inks in person, I have a good backup plan.
BTW, these are excellent inks—pen-friendly vis-a-vis lubrication and clogging, with office-setting-acceptable color that is still bold and well-shaded.

dropbrianSince I'm living in Europe, I'd be interested in your Favorite European pen/ink sites? So far I didn't manage to find good ones. I'm pretty new to the whole pen/ink "scene".

Meh... not really. It retails for $30, so it's a savings of like $5 per bottle. A decent ink, but not a very good deal for a MD...

Pity. Once shipping of almost $8 is added, this price per bottle is only a few dollars less than retail.

These are fantastic inks, but caveat emptor, although they advertise themselves as document/waterproof inks they do have a soluble component. This means that if you put a wet or sweaty glass on top of your page it will smear badly enough to be unreadable. If it gets truly wet then there is definitely a permanent part of the ink, but my problem is usually that I splash my page or spill something accidentally when I'm writing in notebook at the same time as having a cup of coffee. For this purpose the ink is close to useless as a "permanent" ink. They are wet and beautifully colored inks that lay down really well. They take a bit longer to dry than some of the standard inks (Sheafer blue/Quink etc), but are much better than some similar wet inks.

When I was doing my six-months abroad in Italy, I took a road trip to Naples and we were hungry, lost and cranky and stopped at a caffè (misspelled!) to recharge and ask for directions. The sun hung low in the air and the sky was changing colors, and the water - the glorious salt water was exactly this shade of blue. I still have dreams about that late afternoon... PS. it's been over 10 years!
