The best of both worlds!
When I saw these, I thought I have to have them, but was initially worried what the tuning would be like. The Tin P1 and P2 are two of my favorite IEMs, but they lack that bass slam that you get with a dynamic driver. Lately, I have been spending a lot of time with the Focal Elex and a tube rolled DarkVoice 336se, and then Hifiman Sundaras balanced on a Magnius/Modius stack, so I was really hoping these would sort of come somewhere in between there. I also love a big wide sound stage. The HarmonicDyne P.D.1 delivers. These IEMs sound amazing with pretty much everything, the bass is sooo good but the detail is right there as well and there is a nice balance between the two. The sound stage is surprisingly wide for an IEM, I honestly don't know how they did it. It feels like its outside of your head at times, including the bass like its shaking the whole room. I listen to more heavy/metal type music, and these breathe a whole new life into something like Mudvayne, where you have a super technical bass player and solid drummer going hand in hand, and the guitar/vocals are right there too. Electronic, classical, and even movies also sound amazing on these. They don't seem to require a whole lot of power compared to the P1 and P2. My Schiit Hel runs them just fine on low gain. I swapped out the stock tips for Dekoni's, made a nice difference in sound (mainly due to the seal) and fit. They also come with 2 cables, a 3.5 single ended and a balanced 4.4, the cables are pretty nice, but they love to get tangled up. I ended up swapping in a MMCX to 2.5mm balanced, and have a 2.5 to 3.5 adapter that I use, this way I can go balanced or single ended and not have to swap the cable. I think these may be my new favorite IEMs. :)

bit_rotBoth those Tins are dynamic
Jeremy11233Both of those are planar. I think you're thinking of the "T" series.
