Complete with nine different utensils, this comprehensive kit comprises everything you need for your next woodcarving project, big or small. Maybe you want to carve something practical for the house like a serving spoon, a set of toothpicks, or a jewelry box. Or perhaps your goal is to make a gift for a friend like a Christmas ornament, a pipe, or even a chess set. With this Japanese-made set of tools, the options are virtually endless.
Note: Due to the sensitive nature of shipping knives internationally, we are able to ship only some of the knives on Massdrop to select countries. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know and comply with all importation regulations and local laws. Click here for additional information.
Crafted in Japan’s cutlery capital, Seki City, each tool in the set is made from high-carbon steel for edge retention, with a teak wood handle for grip. The standout of the set is the Kiridashi, which was originally used in ancient Japan to sharpen pencils, and since evolved into a remarkably handy woodcarving tool. The saw is great for cutting off larger chunks of wood with little effort, and the pen blade helps reach tight areas for details. And after you’ve carved a piece of wood to shreds and left it with chisel marks, use the file to smooth out the edges and remove unwanted blemishes.
