so for anyone else that stumbles into this - i just confirmed - they were allowed to lie to you again. this thing has absolutely NO ability to create macros of any kind... no key reassignment.. nothing.
i dont know how ikbc keeps getting allowed to do this. this time, it was an excessive lie - "on board memory to record macros" is not even marketing spin - thats just flat out a lie.
Does the keyboard adjust angle? The previous version had magnetic feet.
Edit: sorry confused the ctrl with this about the magnetic feet. seems like these can't adjust.
I got an email today, 02-Sep-2021 around 1:15 pm CST saying
"It's here! Thanks for requesting the IKBC MF108 Aluminum RGB Mechanical Keyboard V3! We thought you'd be happy to know that it's available."
But here it still not active. Could you please update what's the latest status is?
This would be my 2nd purchase of this model keyboard - simply because its all Aluminium.
Amazing that this keyboard made out of this material is selling so cheap, despite what our convict currency is worth now, compared to the almighty USD.
Wish we converted over to the USD in the 1980s, then we could all enjoy unbridled purchasing during 2020 ; )
Slayer777Worthless Australian Dollar.
Not even worth printing it these days, the Canadian Dollar is even worth more than our toilet paper money.
In fact TOILET paper is far more valuable, being it's bio-degradable and it's highly valued at this point int time ; )
ok... i need some clarification. IKBC has duped people before with this, and i want to know exactly how...
on the v1 and v2 of this keyboard (both of which i have owned) they made the claim that you could record macros. however... once you get it, and see no mention of how and contact them - they informed you that it was a marketing mistake, and there is no way to record macros.
this keyboard in v3 has once again made the claim that it has configurable macros with onboard memory (memory is new, which is why im asking again rather than just passing this by) - HOW are macros recorded, and is there any documentation online somewhere?
is it done via hardware... and if so, what capabilities does it have? is it done via software, and if so... where is the app?
mdotI have the V1 and the V2. They are still the best keyboards I own. As far as the macros, unless it says QMK I wouldn't get my hopes up. I have some G heavy industry buttersticks that I use for macros since I prefer having a seperate board for my software shortcuts and macros. My only gripe is desoldering if you want to change the switches, I would prefer if it was hot swapable.
cyber_puttywould be great if it was qmk, but i highly doubt it (it would be a great marketing tool that most will advertise)
most likely, its a hardware macro system somewhat like ducky and varmilo has... but there are no specifics online about it anywhere. in fact, this board isnt even mentioned on their site.
so - any chance for clarification on the "macros" statement? how are macros created? is this a software or hardware solution? what capabilities does it have (ie: key remapping, etc)
Greetings... Do the corners/edges of the keycaps roll off nicely to the side surfaces or are they abrupt like the keycaps which come with recent Duckys? Those sharper edges get uncomfortable after a while.
