@HaaTa what do you think you will add/fix in the next drop of this? I'm not in an urgent state to have this now so if you think the next drop of infinity 60 will be added by something more I will likely to get this on the next drop rather than this one.

JebbraAt this point. I'm not sure what we'll be fixing in the next drop of this. Usually we try to focus on manufacturing process improvements after new features. The IC60 is definitely Input Club's most mature keyboard, so I wouldn't expect nearly any changes on the consumer side.
And for those that are wondering, we won't be adding RGB LEDs to any of the keyboards we do until we feel we can deliver them well. Still polishing up our KType implementation right now. There's also the decision about what kind(s) of RGB switches to support (which we are actively investigating).

HaaTaI see. Seems I will go with this round. Thank you and great job!

HaaTa... for next round you'll install USB-C...

DanielFerrerSo, for the IC60, this is a tough request as I'm not sure you can be compatible with standard poker cases anymore... Otherwise we probably would've switched already... We're already on Mini-B connector #3 for the IC60 because of various issues we've found. Still I'd like to move to Type C if it's possible (as the connector is mechanically, much stronger).

HaaTaIf it is feasible, make the usb-C option be compatible to Pok3r cases and it would be a nice innovation. Try it!

HaaTaIf you ever decide to put bluetooth on the infinity, hope you will have a version with no bluetooth at all because some of us more paranoid/more obsessive compulsive and are worried our bluetooth keypresses will be intercepted. And if you do make a bluetooth version, hope it uses AA or AAA, since making it the rechargeable type will make the battery hard to replace when the rechargeable type loses its ability to keep a charge. At least with regular AA and AAA, we can just get eneloops when the battery loses its ability to charge.

kylojunYeah, I want to keep making the keyboards USB for a while yet. If bluetooth does happen, would likely be some sort of add-on module to begin with so I don't have to re-write lots of firmware.

HaaTaYup, adding an add-on module that is completely and easily removable from the keyboard is the best compromise if you must add bluetooth, but hopefully only if the implementation will be perfect.

HaaTaHope you guys consider splitting the spacebar into two so we can an extra button to use as function key or as backspace for the next iterations of the infinity 60% and so I don't have to make my own.

kylojunI'm currently using a KC60 with SpaceFn programmed in firmware, and it's life-changing without requiring me to source custom odd-size keycaps for the spacebar. (You can program the Infinity this way as well.)

DanielFerrerSpaceFn means that the space bar becomes the Fn key when it is held down. Press and release, it works as the normal space bar. Press, hold it down and press another key, it becomes the Fn key. Example : press and hold down space, press 1, and you get F1.

kylojunI'd *love* to do a proper split spacebar (rounded keycap). But finding keycaps...well you know how that goes... I hope in the near future as keycaps get easy to design, this may become more viable.

graftthank very much for that info. I never knew that .Does that mean I could also have TabFn, EnterFn,EscFn, CapslockFn or even AlphanumericFn, wherein if I press the Q/1/enter/etc key and release, I get the letter Q/1/enter/etc, but if I hold it, I can make it a Fn key? @HaaTa Can we get confirmation from you that the same functionality works for the Infinity 60%? How exactly is this done with configurator? I can't seem to figure it out.
I'm also wondering if it is possible to separate the shift key of a certain key, let's say I want to put the { to fn-Q and I want to put [ to fn-A. Is this possible with the configurator, but I can't seem to access {. I want to be able to just fn-key without fn-shift-keying to access the shift key version of a key.
Thank you

HaaTaI never thought about that. You are right, I can't seem to get the right numbers to make a split spacebar from a 6.25. Just an idea, but you could also try three keys I suppose, 1.75 + 1.75 + 2.75.(Signature plastics seem to have DSA keycaps for this) =P

filetOn the KC60 configurator, yes, you can have multiple. I use Space for layer 1 and Tab for layer 2 (where I have a numpad). I don't see how to do it in the IC configurator, but I'm not sure of the difference between lock and latch for the layer keys. It would certainly be possible through KLL, but that may be pushing it.

filetSo, I am working on this feature. But in a more generic way (so it's been taking me longer).
KLL spec is ready, and I've finished the language parser, now I'm working on the c code/firmware data structure generator. The actual firmware to do this sort of thing is the easiest part, lol.
If anyone's interested, you can read about it in the 0.5 (and 0.4) specs: http://input.club/kll It's under state scheduling.

HaaTaWent through the specs. Hope it will be available before the year ends, hopefully much earlier. Can't wait. Also can't wait for a detailed, step by step, easy to follow guide and documentation for newbies such as me. Thanks!
