Lightweight, sharp, beautiful little knife
I love this little knife, it's quick to deploy, super sharp and super sharp. The carbon fiber edition looks awesome, with a minimalist yet practical design. Be aware that although the blade is under 3", and it's a folding knife- because it locks when open, it is illegal to carry in some countries (such as UK).

This came today and I spent a little time playing around with it and getting a sense of what it had going for it.

This is a knife that cost me $20 and was made in China -- that's the frame for my expectations coming in the door. I was expecting decent but not knockout quality, a fairly simple build, and a small multipurpose blade. First impressions: Not bad. I was kind of surprised by a few things. And the first, to be honest, was that the design wasn't just for looks. Good little design on this thing. Not made for large hands - even after tuning mine, it's kind of awkward to open with one hand. The second thing I was surprised by is that the frame lock is very aggressive -- it gets out all the way on the tang when locked, and the detent ball is really wearing a runway in the steel when not locked. This has pros and cons, so it depends on what you care about. It slows opening a bit and closing a lot, and the frame lock catches at three distinct stages, giving the pivot a bit of a stutter, because of all the force the detent is putting on the tang. People who like to flick things open will notice this with a frown. But it's a nice solid lockup, and it's really hard to see it failing, which will appeal to many people.

Breaking it down was very simple. There are few parts, and it's intelligently designed. The stop pin was press fit into place, and I left one of the backspacers bolted on just to make it easier to put back together.

Thoughts: 1) I love the G-10 and thin schmear of carbon fiber on top of it, even though it's ridiculous -- like, seriously, there's a couple of microns worth of carbon fiber epoxied to the top of a G10 handle scale, and that's it. But in today's knife marketplace that means it's actually carbon fiber and not some simulant. G-10 is plenty tough anyway. 2) The detent pin is placed so close to the pivot that regular washers don't fit. At first I wondered what sort of bespoke washers were used to make this work. Alas.

As you can see, they just used nylon washers and kinda jammed 'em on there. Knife industry in a nutshell -- carbon fiber scales, because you can see 'em, and cheapass nylon washers that don't really fit, because you can't. Anyway the edge of the washers rubs against the detent pin as the blade turns, which is part of the reason for the stuttery motion (the heavy detent ball is the rest of it, the pivot's actually pretty smooth). 3) The clip is sweet. Seriously good design. It only has one screw hole which usually means it'll wobble all over, but because it attaches beneath the scale and wraps around over the top of it, snug against the metal edge, it doesn't wobble at all, and is heavy duty. 4) The carabiner is decent. Short version is you can hang your knife on a lot of things instead of laying it on the desk, even if there isn't a standard hook or the like there. Some people use things like this as a keychain, which just kinda is a no for me, but that's the only way they take a pocket knife around with them, and I'm sure it'll do just fine at that. 5) Aside from the gnasty washers and the fact that it's not really flippable, the only other major ding I have is the coating on the non-polished parts of the blade are a little uneven, and they look less like a blade coating or treatment and more like high gloss gray spraypaint. Now, this is a $20 pickup, and for that one does not get perfection in a folding knife. I kinda like this little thing and am already doing some work on it, and am not at all upset I picked it up. But the washers and jerky action are enough to take off one star. Four stars is prolly dead fair.

It’s a good knife for the price and everyday use. I’ll order 2 more next time.

(Moved from my original post in discussions and updated after owning for a few months.)
Overall, it's a handy size and reasonable value. I've got a few minor gripes, but no deal-breakers. I'd give 3.5 stars if that were an option.
Pros: - Looks nicer than I was expecting. I bought it to be a knockaround but find myself trying to avoid banging it up. - Feels very solid. No blade play. Secure lockup. - To me it looks better in person. I thought it was going to look gimmicky, but it's actually kind of understated. - Very compact and very thin. Totally disappears in a pocket, whether clipped or loose. - Operable with one hand, including returning it to being clipped in a pocket. (See cons.) - Mine came shaving sharp. Holds an edge as well as can be expected from 8Cr. - Blade shape is excellent for general use.
Cons: - Grind is uneven, making the tip appear bent when viewed at certain angles. - After a few months of light use, the blade has become way off-center. When closed, it rests on the inside of the scale on "show" side of the handle. Centering was perfect when it was new, so I think the asymmetry of the scales (both shape and materials) may have caused some shear force to develop across the pivot. - Closing with one hand is awkward due to placement of the lock bar and is made more difficult by the aggressiveness of the detente ball. You may have a hard time releasing the lock bar with gloves on. - The edge of the thumb groove feels pretty sharp to a bare hand. The upside is that it has more grab when you're wearing gloves or have wet hands. - The carabiner clip can get tangled in softer fabric such as workout shorts. Not a problem with jeans.

Nice blade for the price. The lock release is quite difficult to operate and the clip popped off after three wears and, keeps popping off.
