Clip it to your pack, attach it to your raincoat, slide it in a pocket, or toss it in the glove box: the Kershaw Reverb is compact enough to fit pretty much anywhere. The frame measures only a third of an inch thick and weighs just 1.6 ounces, but despite the slim build, it’s plenty big for most tasks Read More

These are not the carabiner knives you are looking for...
I see this as a carabiner knife, otherwise there are small pocket knives out there at this quality for lower prices. Thus, if a carabiner knife is the specific gimmick you seek, let me recommend better ones:
For a similar price, Kershaw makes the more useful, but similarly priced, Kershaw Pub (carbon fiber handle) @ $20.30 or a blue-scaled version for $12.99.
And if you want an upscale carabiner knife, this is my favorite, pricier option: the Vargo Wharn-clip @ $59.95 (which is currently going for the "secret" price of $49.25 when you add it to your cart). To quote Fee Waybill, from The Tubes, "She's a beauty!"
NarqThe Pub is not a carabiner knife and only has a $1 difference with the carbon fiber handle. It's an entirely different blade and use.
The Wharn-clip isn't even a folding knife.
The Reverb is for light, unobtrusive EDC and outdoor use. Those aren't similar options.
I like the look of this, but 8cr13mov is a fairly disappointing steel, in my experience. Poor edge retention, and fairly poor stainless properties. If your blade is going to quick to rust, it shouldn't also be quick to dull. I wish this were available in a better steel. I'd grab this up if it were made of D2 or VG-10, for instance. Obviously it wouldn't be $20 then, but it still wouldn't break the bank.
Nice little knife. I bought two the last time it came up here...I got mine from Amazon, though. Cheaper and faster.
Also, what happened to the deals getting better as more people agreed to purchase?
ChainmailI guess that's why they dropped the "Mass" part off of their name and it's just "Drop" now. 🤷🏻♂️
That was one of the big reasons that I joined back then too!
I came back to take another look after someone had endorsed my comment. I looked and was thinking that I might have to get one. I punched up a Cedric & Ada review. FAIL. The spring on the carabiner comes off with very little effort. Inasmuch as I would attach this to a belt loop, it would get snagged and it would be lost. I do my best not to buy knives for strangers. Perhaps I can find a review on the XL. But I suspect it has the same crappy carabiner spring.
What I want to know is has anyone ever had a thumbstud or flipper catch on anything besides your pants pocket? Advertising the absence of a feature like it was a good thing drives me batpoop crazy.
14themoneyIt's all in the spin in advertising! Lol!
Not for the reasons listed, but I've all but stopped buying knives with thumb studs mainly because they can get in the way when sharpening.
