Slim enough to pack in a pocket, jacket, backpack, or glove box, the Lumintop ED25 is also powerful enough to shine a beam as far as 102 meters. Capable of producing up to 620 lumens with just two AA batteries, it gives you a consistent, bright beam with a power source you most likely have lying around the house or in the garage Read More
Received defective flashlight. No warranty from Lumintop. In fact Lumintop refused any response to my requests for replacement or parts. Be aware when buying this unit
No branding, no instructions , in the picture it shows lumintop on the torch. How do I know if this isn't a knock off. I got mine on the last drop & I haven't used it yet do to the complaints .
Can anyone from Massdrop speak to whether any of the concerns below have been addressed? I'd purchase this, but I'd like some security that the product is as advertised. Thanks!
LaserGuidedSockMine is the same way. On top of it I didn't get a waterproof cap or directions on how to operate it. It went to a strobe and beacon setting and I can't get it to just stay on the bright setting.
Light arrived today. No markings at all on the light. Lumintop is on the holster flap, but other than that I would say the light looks like a factory second or one set up for rebranding. Seems to work OK, although there was no user guide or manual included with the light, nor could I find one online. I managed to find the strobe and beacons by fiddling with the light. Hint: loosen the head slightly to get to these modes. This is not one of Lumintop's current product offerings.
The highest light output seems about right although there is no way to know the output at the lower two levels. I compared the output in a dark room with a Thorfire TG06S rated at 500 lumens with a similar size and shape head and reflector. Both seemed pretty close in brightness in this non-scientific test. I can tail stand it, but its not real stable because of the massive finger cut-outs.
Other than that the light feels solid and should stand up to rough use. I think it was a good value at this price. I might buy another if it comes up again.
I received my flashlight but it is strange, mine has no branding on it. It has no name or model number, just looks like a generic black flashlight. I also did not receive any paper work or the additional button cover. Has anyone else experienced this same situation?
Love2FishYup. Came here to say exactly the same thing. Not sure I'm really in love with the light. I put two AA batteries in and it's maybe maybe 200 lumens.
roissyNo problem, it's a nice light as far as the way it functions being so simple, half clicks for mode switching and "break"(twist to loosen) the light head to get into the strobe/flashing modes. I have the maratac version, which it looks like the only difference is the branding, and rubber cap color on the switch....and it didn't come with the accessories and cost more.
silverspurr59Yeah, I may do that. Though they were out of stock of the actual lights when I last asked, at looks like it's the same deal/possibly discontinued now...but maybe he'll at least be able to point me in the right direction now that I've figured out it's the switch that was the problem.
I have one and wish I bought another. It is about 600 lumens. I belong to budgetlight forum and trust me alot of members purchased these lights. Great value , the build is top notch.
