Ugh. I keep wanting to buy this light but honestly mode spacing is horrible. It lacks anything that could be considered a "low" mode. I like moonlight modes, but don't require every light have one, but it should at least have a mode that wont blow out your vision in complete darkness, 60/100 lumens is a LOT of light in a completely dark environment or at very up close distances. Something sub 20 or preferably sub 10 lumen would work.
I've been using it as EDC light for a few months and recently found out that from 4 lightning modes only 3 are left. technically I can cycle through 4 modes, but two highest modes have become almost the same in brightness. Either the driver can't output maximum power or LED can't output more light or 3-rd mode brightness increased... I only used the flashlight for less than a minute a day and have only charged the orbtronic 1000mAh cell for two times since I first started using them both. I tried another battery with the same results. All the other functions work, but not sure if the maximum intensity is the same as initially was in modes that use it.
already bought it for much less and even today it's cheaper on chinese sites. I want to be a massdrop supporter, but why aren't you trying to motivate me too?
as for the flashlight, it's excellent and has become my EDC one since its arrival. colour is really neutral, levels are in correct order and it really memorizes the last level of intensity. it's beautiful, compact and even bright enough for almost everything I've ever used flashlights for. with spare batteries it's useful for hiking/camping too. it can't melt black plastic.
Specs say neutral white is a choice. When selecting tint choice only "Cold White" is offered. What's up Massdrop?
I have this flashlight in neutral tint and it is very nice.
JaykaydIn the final analysis, it ends up being 5 bux cheaper to get this from massdrop than Amazon, even with prime, and 7 bux cheaper if you ordered the neutral white model.
