I own Sennheiser 800 HD overheads, which squeeze my head a little too hard after wearing for a long time, plus I like to lay on my side, so I'm a little afraid to break these headphones for which I paid like $1500 (I have broken some very good and/or expensive headphones in my life by laying on them, and this is a habit I've had going back some 40 odd years). I also own Shure SE846 EarBuds (IEMs), but even with their quality and other Doctor molded ear canal monitors, the ear canal greasy sweat gets really annoying quick, so I prefer overheads to buds for long term use. These low profile, light, overheads, THAT I can lay on are sweet & sturdy, and there's an unexpected clarity at Vol; especially since I run all of my Headphones out of Solid State and/or Tube Amp(s) and Pre-Amp(s). For only $200, these are really high quality, even when I compare them to my $1500 overheads and $900 IEMs. I just wanted some decent, loud, headphones that I can lay on and sorta abuse. These are much better than I was expecting... Here's to hoping the materials hold up long term. ^_-
