This amp would perform a lot better if they used a linear power supply instead of the noisy switching power supply that comes with it. It doesn't make sense to use a form of power delivery that's known to be noisy in an amplifier. It's really been the only aching problem I've had with it.

ScootyrootyYou are right, I bought the iFi AC iPurifier and connected it before the CTH and it has brought noticeable improvement of the mains noise leakage. When I connected sensitive earphones and the amp turned on you could hear slight ringing but after connecting the iFi purifier it has dissapeared. I do not know if anyone has some tip for linear power supply which you could use with it or same experience with "power conditioners".

guviLOL, thanks for pointing that out.. I wasn't even paying attention to the pictures. The ifi AC iPurifier is an option as well, I am just not seeing how it fits in the chain, NM. Very limited in what I can use internet for at work.. figured it out though. thanks again for pointing out my mistake on power supply :)

bfitzI plugged it in the power outlet before the CTH which is at the end, so there is no noise from the house or other devices

mmatzenauerThanks. I was able to googlefu it. Internet lockdown at work, but managed to figure out it's a mains filter and not something "to plug into".
