Based on NwAvGuy’s open source design, the Mayflower O2 Headphone Amp piles years of research into one highly functioning piece of equipment, converting your so-so audio into real live music.
Note: This drop includes a US power adapter. At check-out, you have your choice of output between 1/4” (6.3 mm), 1/8” (3.5 mm), or 1/8” with a Bamboo Panel.
Cut Through Controversy
The O2 was made for benchmark performance at an entry level price. Famed Head-Fi suer NwAvGuy spent a tremendous amount of time designing the O2, resulting in an impressive piece of equipment with truly objective power. The first DIY units went out for review and sparked a wave of controversy, but once the controversy subsided, the O2 was left standing as one of the best headphone amplifiers available below $500.

Making the most of open source, Mayflower picked up the design and made their own version. Their resulting product, the Mayflower O2 Headphone Amp, is renowned for its high-end sound, exceptional build quality, and excellent price. Every unit comes with an 1/8” input, but you can choose between an 1/8” and 1/4” output at check-out.
