We received a defective product for the C type connector.
It's my fault that I checked too late after the delivery was completed.
I started repairing it myself, it was simple,
And now I become custom usb cable maker. :)
Looked / felt great. Paired perfectly with the keyboard I had and was a "fun" cable (as fun as cables can be).
Unfortunately it broke just within 2 years.
When I first received it, I could tell the usb-c side was quite flimsy and felt poorly designed.
I could probably have fixed it myself, but I have since moved to a shorter cable that works better for me.
The cable arrived with the USB C connection completely unusable. The friendly team at Drop refunded my money right away, so I can't really say too much bad about this situation. Props to Drop for correcting the mistake so quickly.
This was my very first cable I've ever dabbled in. When I got it, it felt nice and the techflex was solid. Though I noticed that the jumbo cable caused the coil to become very uneven. Especially more so over time. Since then, I've bought 2 custom aviators not from this company and even at the equivalent pricing provided by mechcables (even with aviators), these respective cables looked better and had zero issues with coil unraveling as well.
Mechcables... This cable has been sitting in my closet since then. Would not recommend since it's essentially an overpriced cable in the end as far as jumbo cable is concerned. Worst part is that you need the jumbo cable to power the CTRL/ALT/Shift's RGB LEDs. So yeah, pick your poison.
