aygrossI'm able to sleep on my side pretty well with these. I think that's a very personal thing, so it might not work for you. Soft tips are essential. I hear no hiss at all. I like the sound a lot, especially for music like Beck or Bjork or Everything But The Girl or Jean-Luc Ponty. Good balance and spaciousness. For classical and some jazz, I prefer my edc3's (ever so slightly more comfortable on my side, too) - but they're a tad harsh for the light rock I just mentioned. Also more expensive. I also have the mee M6 ($14 from a blue box special) - sound is lacking ("podcast quality"), but it's the most comfortable pair on my side. For the price, you might just start there and upgrade until you get the quality you're looking for (ultimately what I did). I found that process fun. I hope you can enjoy it, too. Good luck

UnsquishThe Mee M6Pro are the same size and basically the same shape as the M6, but sound much better. If you find the M6 comfortable, you might find the M6Pro just what you want.

dashdsrdashbeen meaning to mention - the M6Pro has taken over as my go-to sleep iem for several months now. Thanks a lot for the suggestion! It’s a really nice balance of sound quality and comfort for side sleeping (and not even expensive)
