Every time I look at this thing, I think, oh, this is neat, but man that board is kinda janky. I'd think you'd design something like this to fit into some kind of carrier that can use an available SSD/HDD mounting position or an empty expansion slot or something. I guess I could design and print a carrier, but it'd be a lot easier if at least some kind of consideration was given to mounting; E.g. make the board a few mm bigger in X and Y with cuts you can use as loops for zip ties, screw holes spaced to match 2.5" SSD/HDD screw positions, etc.

Aspirant_FoolWhy would you mount it in your PC? I don't see why you wouldn't just use your PC's power button at that point

spaghetti_and_meatballsYou would mount it in your PC because that's the only way to make it work. The board with the 18650 battery on it goes inside your PC and connects to the power switch headers on the motherboard, as well as a USB port or 4-pin power connector to keep the battery charged. The little box with the two switches on it is the wireless 'trigger' that activates your PC remotely. You might use this just because it's neat, or you might use it because, e.g., you have a system in a media center or closet or something and don't want to go press the power button to turn it on. Detractors will say, "jUsT uSe WaKe On LaN", but of course anyone competent knows that wake on LAN has aways been and remains questionably reliable at best; Any configuration that results in the target machine reliably turning on when requested also tends to result in the target machine randomly turning on for no apparent reason.
