Flexible Distortion

Capable of producing a wide range of tones (from boost to TS-style overdrive to fuzz), the Mission Engineering Delta III would make a great addition to just about any rig. At its core is a three-transistor analog distortion circuit, with fast, quiet digital switching and a high-quality output buffer that ensures compatibility with other pedals. Because the Delta III isn’t overly sensitive to its placement on the pedal board, it can be used with active pickups, basses, and buffered pedals anywhere in the signal chain.

Note: This drop is for the Delta III Si, which features silicon transistors and provides slightly harder clipping with increased distortion available at the high gain settings. Because all pedals are made to order, please note the earliest estimated ship date will be 16 days after the drop ends.

Tonal Control

The voltage bias of the transistors has been adjusted for optimal response as the signal decays, allowing for smooth distortion from both very high and low signal inputs. Two separate EQ controls offer extensive tone-shaping capabilities: Use the Lo range to fatten up the fuzz tone without getting too flubby, and use the Hi range to roll off some of the high end to prevent harshness. Finally, the gain knob provides control over the character of the distortion. With the gain knob in the off position, the pedal behaves as a boost. With the knob in the midrange, you’ll get TS-style overdrive and crunch tones, and in the high positions, you’ll get fuzz tones.
